RONNY MUNROE First Artist Of His Kind To Be Heard At United Nations Rotary Day

Each year hundreds of Rotary International-sponsored students from all over the globe attend a special day at the United Nations for sharing worldwide community service and humanitarian projects with one another. Ronny Munroe, former METAL CHURCH lead vocalist and "Metal Performer of the Year" in 2009 as honored by the Mortal Fest Metal Awards committee in Mexico, and solo artist with his 2009 release "The Fire Within", has written both a special tribute song to honor the Interact and Rotaract students who have "made a difference" in their communities throughout the seven continents. The song entitled, "Together We Can" (make a difference),will be accompanied by a moving speech written to show that the rock world is dedicated to the youth who do really make a difference, and this time the UN will be "rocked" by Ronny in a way never heard in those hallowed walls. Students will hear his speech, his song, and be able to take home a souvenier of a melody that will surely haunt them for a long time to come, as the chords and vocals rip to the inner soul of all that is "service above self" minded, the Rotary theme motto.
